Job summary

Smartworkconsultants seeks a highly organized Purchase & Stores Manager to oversee procurement, inventory management, and stores operations in our home textile manufacturing unit in Karur, Tamil Nadu. The role focuses on vendor management, material planning, and inventory control to drive efficiency.

The candidate will work with ERP / Tally / MS Excel, coordinating with production, planning and finance teams to ensure timely procurement and optimal stock levels in a fast-paced manufacturing

• Strong experience in Purchase, Procurement & Stores Management.
• Knowledge of textile raw materials & manufacturing processes.
• Inventory management & stock control expertise.
• Proficiency in ERP / Tally / MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchase & procurement operations.
• Source and negotiate with vendors for raw materials, fabrics, trims & consumables.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability.
• Oversee stores operations, inward/outward material movement & documentation.
• Coordinate with production, planning & finance teams for material requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
• Implement inventory control and cost-saving initiatives.
