Job summary

Sodexo in India seeks an Executive Technical (Electrical) to ensure uninterrupted daily electrical operations and oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, and switchgear.

The role requires troubleshooting of electrical control circuits and testing, with emphasis on safety and reliable facility operations across the site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and maintain HT and LT power distribution systems, transformers, DG sets, UPS, PCC/MCC panels, and switchgears.
• Ensure optimal load distribution and monitor power factor, reducing losses and energy use.
• Coordinate continuous power supply management and DG operations during outages.
• Execute scheduled Preventive Maintenance routines for electrical machinery, panels, motors, and backup equipment.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis for major electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot electrical control circuits, PLCs, VFDs, breakers, relays, and MCCs.
• Perform insulation resistance/megger testing, relay testing, and earth resistance monitoring.

The Executive Technical (Electrical) is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted daily electrical operations, overseeing routine preventive and breakdown maintenance, maintaining strict safety compliance, and troubleshooting HT/LT electrical systems and equipment to support smooth facility/plant operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Daily Operations & Power Management

• Monitor, operate, and maintain High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) power distribution systems, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, PCC/MCC panels, and switchgears.
• Ensure optimal load distribution, monitor power factor performance, and take steps to minimize power losses and energy consumption.
• Coordinate continuous power supply management and manage diesel generator (DG) operations during outages.

2. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

• Execute and adhere to scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) routines for all electrical machinery, panels, motors, and backup equipment.
• Quickly respond to and diagnose breakdown maintenance issues to minimize operational downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major electrical failures and implement corrective/preventive actions.

3. Equipment Troubleshooting & Testing

• Perform systematic troubleshooting of electrical control circuits, PLCs, VFDs, breakers, relays, and motor control centers.
• Conduct routine electrical testing (insulation resistance/megger test, relay testing, earth resistance monitoring).
