Job summary

THE Instinct is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance lead to oversee operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems within the facility. You will monitor panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, and safety systems, conducting regular inspections and coordinating with technicians and vendors.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance planning, energy efficiency monitoring, record-keeping, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and SOPs.

• Responsible for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems within the facility.
• Monitor and maintain HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, APFC panels, MCC, PCC, and electrical distribution systems.
• Conduct regular inspection of electrical equipment and identify faults, abnormalities, and potential breakdowns.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems.
• Monitor electrical load, power consumption, voltage, current, power factor, and energy efficiency.
• Coordinate with electrical technicians and contractors for maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure proper functioning of lighting systems, emergency lighting, earthing, and electrical safety systems.
• Maintain electrical equipment records, maintenance schedules, checklists, and breakdown reports.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory requirements, and facility SOPs.
• Conduct regular inspection of electrical panels, cables, DBs, switchgear, and electrical installations.
• Handle emergency electrical breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime of critical services.
• Coordinate with vendors and service agencies for AMC, repair, testing, and commissioning work.
• Supervise electrical installation and modification projects within the facility.
• Ensure proper LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and electrical safety procedures during maintenance work.
• Support energy-saving initiatives and recommend measures to reduce electricity consumption.
• Prepare daily/monthly maintenance reports and update management regarding electrical issues.
• Maintain inventory of electrical spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and participate in emergency/mock drills.
• Guide and supervise electrical technicians, electricians, and maintenance staff.
• Ensure 247 availability of critical electrical services in the facility, where applicable.
