Job summary

Britannia plant in Tamil Nadu, India seeks a maintenance associate to oversee electrical operations for transformers, generators, and utility equipment. The role involves monitoring MV panels, DG, compressors, UPS readings, and maintaining accurate log books while coordinating with relievers.

You will participate in ISO audits, support downtime reduction projects, ensure panel safety, conduct daily checks, and keep critical spares ready.

Responsibilities

• Transformer and Generator operations and monitoring
• Read and log MV panel, DG, compressor and UPS readings
• Utilities operations and condition monitoring of DG, compressor, borewell and ETP
• Attend electrical breakdowns in plant machinery and assist to fix issues
• Condition monitoring of plant machineries, addressing abnormalities and earthing
• Maintain daily log book and communicate status to reliever
• Monitor and maintain utilities transformers, DG, UPS, air compressor, ETP and water pump
• Ensure power availability and minimize breakdowns to meet targets
• Prepare defective spare parts for replacement
• DG batteries
• Compressor auto trains and dryer
• Water storage tank level
• Street lights

Job description

Prime responsibilities:

• Transformer and Generator operations and monitoring
• MV panel , DG, Compressor & UPS reading has to be taken and written in log book
• Utilities operations and condition monitoring (DG,Compressor, Bore well & ETP)
• Attending of plant machinery electrical break downs and supporting to mechanical break downs to set right the plant ASAP
• Condition monitoring of plant Machineries(Any up normalities ,motor fan and its cover ,terminal in proper conditions and earthing in proper)
• Daily log book has to be written and proper oral/written communication has to be given to the reliever
• Utilities Transformers, DG, UPS, Air Compressor, ETP Monitoring, Water pump operation maintenance
• Special care has to be taken to achieve the power and breakdown targets
• Defective spares to be made ready

Associate responsibilities:

• Participating in the ISO audits, Test verification and certification Validations etc.
• Involving in developmental activities to minimizing equipment down times
• Observing and learning of new implementations and projects
• Ensuring all panel boards in proper conditions.
• Timely information has to be given in spares requirement
• Ensure workplace safety by avoiding loose cable, open power points, joint cables & Proper closing of panels
• Daily checkings
