Job summary

Vikram Solar in Gangaikondan is seeking an Executive – Stores to manage end-to-end store operations, receipt, storage, handling, issuing and inventory control of materials. You will ensure stock accuracy, safety compliance and timely material availability, coordinating with QC and production teams.

The role requires 2–6 years in stores or related field, with proficiency in ERP/stock systems and a focus on 5S and FEFO. Candidates with DMM/PGDMM certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Diploma in any discipline; materials management certification (e.g., DMM/PGDMM) preferred.
• 2–6 years in stores, warehouse, supply chain or material handling in manufacturing/EPC.
• Strong knowledge of 5S, FIFO/FEFO and safety norms.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials with delivery challans, invoices and packing lists.
• Verify quantity, quality and specifications against PO/GRN.
• Coordinate with QC/Inspection for acceptance or rejection.
• Ensure systematic storage and proper stock discipline in ERP systems.
• Issue materials to production, maintenance and project teams per approved MR/indent.
• Maintain accurate stock records in ERP (SAP/Tally/Oracle/ERPNext).
• Conduct cycle counts, monthly stock counts and annual physical inventory.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete items and report accordingly.

Job Objective

To manage end‑to‑end store operations including receipt, storage, handling, issuing, documentation, and inventory control of materials. The role ensures accuracy, stock discipline, timely material availability, and compliance with company processes and safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Receive materials along with delivery challans, invoices, and packing lists.
2. Verify quantity, quality, and specification against PO/GRN.
3. Coordinate with QC/Inspection team for acceptance/rejection.
4. Ensure systematic storage of materials using 5S, FIFO/FEFO, and safety norms.
5. Manage binning, shelving, stacking, and segregation of consumables, spares, tools & critical items.
6. Maintain proper handling of fragile, hazardous, and high-value materials.
7. Issue materials to production, maintenance, and project teams based on approved MR/indent.
8. Update ERP with real-time issue entries to maintain accurate stock balances.
9. Track returnable materials, tools, and fixtures issued to departments.
10. Maintain accurate stock records in ERP (SAP/Tally/Oracle/ERPNext).
11. Conduct cycle counts, monthly stock counts, and annual physical inventory.
12. Identify slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete items.
