Responsibilities

• Receive and verify raw materials against PO, challan, and invoice.
• Post GRNs in SAP/ERP after checking material code, quantity, UOM, and PO details.
• Maintain SAP bin locations and ensure accurate storage with FIFO labeling.
• Issue materials to in-house production against authorized requisitions and job orders.
• Issue materials to vendors for job-work with proper records and timely reconciliation.
• Conduct monthly cycle counts and investigate variances with corrective actions.
• Post all material movements on time and report slow-moving or excess stock.
• Follow SOPs and maintain supporting documents for all transactions.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Quality, Cutting, Production, Finance, and vendors and escalate discrepancies.

Job description

Role Overview:

Ensure accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, with reliable inventory records and error-free SAP transactions, in line with warehouse SOPs.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Material Inward

• Receive and verify materials against PO, delivery challan, and invoice.
• Report shortages, excess, damages, and discrepancies; coordinate with Merchandising and Quality.

2. GRN Processing

• Post GRNs in SAP/ERP after checking material code, quantity, UOM, and PO details.
• Maintain GRN records and resolve receipt discrepancies.

3. Storage and Bin Allocation

• Allocate bins and store materials with proper labelling, segregation, and FIFO.
• Keep SAP bin locations matching physical locations.

4. Issuance: In-House Production

• Issue materials to Cutting and Production against authorized requisitions and job orders.
• Verify code, colour, quantity, and UOM; record in SAP; track returns and excess stock.

5. Issuance: Job Work

• Issue materials to approved vendors against authorized job-work orders.
• Maintain vendor-wise issue, return, and pending records; coordinate timely reconciliation.

6. Monthly Cycle Count

• Conduct counts as per schedule and compare physical stock with SAP.
• Investigate variances, submit reports, and complete corrective actions.

7. Inventory Accuracy and Control

• Post all material movements on time.
• Report slow-moving, non-moving, ageing, and excess stock.
• Support reconciliation, month-end closing, and audits.

8. Documentation and Compliance

• Follow SOPs and keep authorization and supporting documents for all transactions.
• Report deviations and support corrective and preventive actions.

9. Housekeeping and Coordination

• Maintain 5S/6S and safe material handling.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Quality, Cutting, Production, Finance, and vendors.
• Escalate shortages, urgent requirements, and discrepancies to the RMWH In-Charge.

• Inventory Accuracy: Within management-defined target
• Transaction Accuracy: Timely, accurate GRN, issue, and SAP postings
• Cycle Count Compliance: 100% of planned counts on schedule
