Job summary

Group Bayport in Gandhinagar, Gujarat requires a focused Warehouse Clerk/ Supervisor to manage daily warehouse activities, ensure accurate bin/rack locations, and maintain optimal material flow. You will enforce 5S, safety standards, and coordinate with procurement, quality, and suppliers to resolve receipt-related issues.

The role emphasizes on-time GRN posting, cycle counting, and achieving real-time inventory accuracy while supporting digitization and Kaizen initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse activities as per approved SOPs.
• Ensure proper bin/rack/location management.
• Monitor warehouse space utilization and material arrangement.
• Maintain 5S, housekeeping and safety standards.
• Monitor incoming material unloading and receiving activities.
• Ensure material quantity and identification verification.
• Monitor GRN preparation/posting within defined TAT.
• Track and resolve short receipt, excess receipt and damaged-material discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Quality and suppliers for receipt-related issues.
• Ensure timely material availability to production.
• Monitor material issue TAT.
• Ensure correct material, quantity, batch/lot and location before issuance.
• Minimize wrong material issuance and picking errors.
• Maintain proper documentation and system transactions.
• Maintain high inventory accuracy through perpetual inventory and cycle counting.
• Monitor stock discrepancies and ensure timely investigation/correction.
• Ensure proper identification, labeling and location accuracy.
• Allocate manpower according to daily workload and material movement.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, overtime and manpower utilization.
• Track individual/team performance.
• Ensure 100% compliance with barcode/scanning processes where applicable.
• Monitor system transactions against physical material movement.
• Support warehouse digitization, automation and dashboard implementation.
• Ensure accurate real-time inventory information.
• Coordinate with Production for material requirements, Planning for material availability, with Procurement for shortages, discrepancies and supplier issues.
• Ensure warehouse readiness for internal and external audits.
• identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement.
• Implement Kaizen and process-improvement initiatives.
