Selective Global Search seeks a Mechanical Purchasing Lead to oversee New Product Development and part creation for mechanical components and sub-assemblies. You will manage RFQs, supplier evaluation, techno-commercial talks, and cost negotiations, while coordinating with Purchasing, Quality and Manufacturing for timely part release.

The role requires B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with extensive purchasing/part development experience and strong commercial, analytical, and project

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 45+8? years of purchasing/part development experience is stated as 48 years in the text.
• Candidate should have strong commercial, analytical, communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in supplier evaluation, cost negotiation and zero-based costing.
• Familiarity with SAP, MS Office, SharePoint and Teams.
• Experience with development of mechanical parts and sub-assemblies.
• Knowledge of NPD, part development, and strategic sourcing.

• Develop casting, machining and forging parts with focus on quality, cost and delivery.
• Manage project/program activities, PEP, VQP, change management and material ratio planning.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Quality and Manufacturing for execution and part release.
• Ensure alignment with procurement goals and supplier performance.
• Possess strong commercial, analytical, communication, organizational and project management skills.

• Manage New Product Development (NPD), Part/Component Development, Vendor Development and Strategic Sourcing for mechanical components and sub-assemblies.
• Handle RFQ, supplier evaluation/selection, techno-commercial discussions, cost negotiation and Zero-Based Costing.
• Develop casting, machining and forging parts while ensuring quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Manage project/program activities, PEP, VQP, change management and material ratio planning.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Quality and Manufacturing teams for project execution and part release.
• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 48 years’ experience in purchasing/part development.
• Strong commercial, analytical, communication, organizational and project management skills.
• Experience with SAP, MS Office, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
