Job summary

Selective Global Search is seeking an experienced Purchasing, Sourcing & New Part Development professional in Gujarat to drive end-to-end development of mechanical components and sub-assemblies. You will lead vendor development, cost optimization and project management from concept to SOP.

Role emphasizes RFQ cycles, supplier evaluation and quality planning aligned with APQP timelines, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Strategic Sourcing / Project Purchasing for Mechanical Parts.
• Hands-on expertise in Casting, Machining, Forging & Sub-assembly development.
• Zero Based Costing and RFQ Management experience.
• Vendor Development & Supplier Evaluation experience.
• Knowledge of PEP / NPD Process & Quality Planning (VQP).

Responsibilities

• Lead Component Development & New Part Development for Casting, Machining & Forging parts.
• Drive Vendor Identification, Development & Evaluation as per project requirements.
• Manage complete RFQ cycle - Supplier selection, techno-commercial comparison & finalization.
• Perform Zero-Based Costing, Cost Negotiation & Cost Reduction initiatives to achieve QCD targets.
• Act as Purchasing Representative in PEP / NPD Projects and coordinate with Central Purchasing, Quality & Manufacturing teams.
• Ensure Preventive Quality Planning (VQP) and release of new parts as per APQP timeline.
• Handle Change Management, Material Planning & Supplier Risk Management for developed parts.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure on-time delivery.
