Job summary

Selective Global Search in India seeks a Mechanical Procurement Specialist with 4–8 years' experience to drive development and sourcing of mechanical components, casting, machining, and forging parts. You will lead RFQ processes, supplier evaluations, and techno-commercial discussions while ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage component and part development, NPD, and vendor development.
• Negotiate costs and perform zero-based costing and RFQ processes.
• Coordinate project management and ensure quality, cost and on-time delivery.
• Interface with central purchasing, material field purchasing, and quality.
• Lead techno-commercial discussions and supplier evaluations.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.

• Manage Component/ Part Development, New Part Development (NPD), Vendor Development, Cost Negotiation, Zero Based Costing, Request for Quotation, Strategic Sourcing, Program Management, Project Management, Quality Management for Various Product, application projects related to Mechanical Components, Machinery building and Sub-assemblies.
• Responsible for Development of Parts like Casting, Machining, & forging parts.
• Responsible for achievement of quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Prepare supplier selection - includes RFQ process, supplier evaluation, Techno-commercial discussion.
• Having experience of Zero base costing
• communication and participation in sourcing decisions.
• Representative in PEP – New product development project.
• Interface with: Central Purchasing, material field related purchasing and quality
• department & Manufacturing dept for project management
• Ensure preventive quality planning (VQP) for project specific new parts and
• coordination of their release.
• Coordinate Material Ratio Planning project activities.
• Change management for developed / procured parts.
• Requirement based travel - domestic and international

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering / Bachelor's Degree – Mechanical Engineering
• Practical commercial and project management experience.
• Analytical and structural approach.
• Work well independently, highly motivated, results oriented.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at one time, including following up on his/her actions
• Minimum 4 - 8 years’ experience with purchasing parts is preferred.
• Ability to develop network in very complex company culture.
• SAP, MS Office, SharePoint, Microsoft Team experience required.

Preferably have a professional experience in Project Purchasing / Program management with sound knowledge onCasting, Machining & forging Components and Sub-assemblies development & vendor development activities
