Role & responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day Industrial Relations (IR) activities at the manufacturing/formulation plant.
- Maintain healthy and positive relations with workmen, employees, union representatives, and contract labour.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, misconduct cases, domestic enquiries, and disciplinary actions in coordination with the HR Head.
- Support management in union negotiations, settlement discussions, and maintaining harmonious employee relations.
- Coordinate and maintain effective communication between management and workmen.
- Monitor absenteeism, attrition, manpower deployment, overtime, shift-related issues, and employee discipline.
- Handle issues related to attendance, leave, shift changes, overtime, wage-related matters, and employee complaints.
- Support preparation and implementation of standing orders, service rules, HR policies, and disciplinary procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with statutory consultants, government authorities, labour officers, and other external agencies whenever required.
- Maintain and update IR-related records, registers, notices, documentation, and statutory records.
- Handle contract labour management, including contractor compliance, manpower records, attendance, wages, and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate with the EHS, Security, Administration, and Operations teams on employee-related matters.
- Support labour-law audits, customer audits, regulatory inspections, and internal HR audits.
- Assist in managing settlements, wage negotiations, bonus, incentives, and other workmen-related matters.
- Monitor and report IR trends, grievances, absenteeism, disciplinary cases, overtime, and manpower-related issues to the HR Head.
- Conduct employee engagement and communication initiatives for workmen and shop-floor employees.
- Support HR initiatives related to training, employee welfare, engagement, and workforce discipline.
- Assist in ensuring smooth HR operations during shift working, shutdowns, production peaks, and other critical plant activities
