DALMIA BHARAT Ltd. seeks an experienced Industrial Relations professional to manage plant-level IR, union relations, and adherence to labour laws at Kapilas, Odisha.
The role will lead negotiations, handle grievances, ensure statutory compliance, and drive employee welfare, engagement, and safety programs in a manufacturing setting.
To ensure harmonious industrial relations within the plant by maintaining proactive engagement with employees, unions, and statutory bodies while ensuring compliance with all labor laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Industrial Relations:
Maintain cordial relations with trade unions and workforce.
Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and disputes effectively.
Facilitate negotiations and collective bargaining agreements.
Conduct domestic inquiries and manage misconduct cases.
2. Compliance & Statutory:
Ensure compliance with labor laws (Factories Act, ID Act, Payment of Wages, etc.).
Maintain statutory registers, returns, and records.
Liaise with government departments (Labour, PF, ESI, etc.) during inspections/audits.
3. Employee Relations & Welfare:
Drive employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
Manage canteen, transport, and township activities where applicable.
Ensure health, safety, and well-being measures are implemented.
4. Communication & Grievance Handling:
Build transparent communication channels between management and workers.
Address grievances promptly to avoid escalation.
5. Union Management:
Support in union elections and negotiations.
Handle conflict resolution and maintain industrial peace.
6. Reports & Documentation:
Prepare IR-related reports and dashboards for management.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all IR records.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Graduate with MBA/PGD in HR/IR/Labour Welfare or MSW (HR).
Experience: 8–15 years of experience in Industrial Relations in a manufacturing/plant setup.
Knowledge: Labour laws, compliance, negotiation skills, and disciplinary procedures.
