Job summary

PCBL Chemical is seeking an experienced HR professional to lead Industrial Relations, plant administration, employee relations, and statutory compliance at our site in India. The role partners with plant leadership to create a compliant, harmonious, and productive work environment.

Ideal candidate has 6+ years in IR and Plant HR, with strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and HR operations experience; SAP HR is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • MBA/MSW/Post Graduate Qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Relations preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Industrial Relations and Plant HR.
  • Strong experience in: Union negotiations, Wage settlements, Statutory compliance, Labor law administration, Employee relations, Disciplinary proceedings, Contract labor management, Plant administration.
  • Exposure to recruitment, training, performance management, employee engagement, and HR operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications; SAP HR exposure will be an added advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive IR initiatives involving workmen, contract workmen, and casual/daily wage employees.
  • Handle disciplinary matters, domestic enquiries, grievance resolution, and workmen-related issues.
  • Lead union interactions, negotiations, wage settlements, and bonus settlements.
  • Ensure timely wage agreement sign-offs and effective wage management.
  • Liaise with government and statutory authorities to ensure compliance with applicable labor laws.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including local communities, NGOs, government bodies, and other external influencers.
  • Monitor and manage workmen-related costs, including overtime, medical expenses, and cost-per-MT metrics.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to labor laws and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance records, documentation, audits, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on labor and compliance matters.
  • Oversee overall plant administration and facility management.
  • Manage ingress and egress of people, vehicles, and materials.
  • Supervise canteen operations, food quality, hygiene, and employee welfare facilities.
  • Ensure availability and upkeep of drinking water facilities, washrooms, occupational health center (OHC), and common utility areas.
  • Monitor housekeeping, cleanliness, and workplace hygiene standards.
  • Manage transportation facilities including buses, pool vehicles, and ambulance services.
  • Oversee employee attendance, leave records, documentation, and time management systems.
  • Guide and manage plant security operations.
  • Administer guest house operations, travel management, uniforms, office assets, furniture, and infrastructure upkeep.
  • Support employee engagement and workforce welfare initiatives.
  • Drive deployment of CSR programs aligned with organizational philosophy.
  • Partner with business leaders to create a positive employee experience and productive workplace culture.
