Job summary

Envocare Research And Engineering seeks a Plant Operator to operate and monitor ETP, STP, WWTP, RO and WTP systems at our Pune/Satara sites. Freshers are welcome; 0–5 years experience preferred in water/wastewater treatment.

Requires ITI/ Diploma or 12th pass, ability to work in shifts, and strict adherence to SOPs, safety guidelines and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in ETP/STP/WWTP/WTP operations (0–5 years or Fresher).
• Willing to work at Pune or Satara plant/site locations.
• Ability to work in shifts in an industrial environment.
• Hands-on exposure to water/wastewater treatment processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor ETP, STP, WWTP, RO and WTP systems per SOPs.
• Operate pumps, blowers, dosing systems, filters and clarifiers.
• Record plant parameters and maintain logbooks and checklists.
• Carry out chemical dosing as per process requirements.
• Perform plant housekeeping and bar screen cleaning.
• Handle hazardous waste and disposal as per site procedures.
• Coordinate with Site Supervisors for smooth operations.
• Follow safety, environmental and PPE requirements.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor ETP, STP, WWTP, RO and WTP systems as per SOPs and site requirements.
• Operate pumps, blowers, dosing systems, filters, clarifiers and other treatment plant equipment.
• Monitor plant parameters and ensure smooth and efficient plant operation.
• Carry out chemical dosing as per process requirements.
• Monitor chemical and biological treatment processes.
• Check and record required water and wastewater quality parameters.
• Maintain daily plant readings, logbooks, checklists and operational records.
• Perform workplace cleaning, plant housekeeping and bar screen cleaning.
• Handle and shift hazardous waste, including sludge and waste oil, to designated storage/disposal areas as per site procedures.
• Identify operational problems and report them to the Site Supervisor.
• Assist in routine maintenance, equipment inspection and basic troubleshooting.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and disposal of chemicals and treatment waste.
• Follow all safety, environmental and PPE requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the plant area.
• Coordinate with Site Supervisors and team members for smooth plant operations.
• Follow company SOPs, safety guidelines and environmental compliance requirements.

Required Skills

Candidate Profile.

• Experience: 0 to 5 years in ETP, STP, WWTP, WTP/ZLD operations or related water/wastewater treatment field.
• Freshers can apply.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in industrial wastewater treatment will be preferred.
• Willingness to work at plant/site locations in Pune or Satara.
• Should be responsible, disciplined and comfortable working in an industrial/plant environment.
• Candidates willing to work in shifts will be preferred.
