Job summary

Indalc Spirits Private Limited is seeking an experienced ETP / CPU Operator to operate and maintain the Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system, treating effluent streams and maximizing water recovery. The role covers RO, UF, CPU, evaporation, and recycling processes to ensure zero discharge compliance.

You will monitor feed, permeate, and reject flows; track recovery and system efficiency; manage chemical dosing, CIP, backwashing, and lab-informed pH and conductivity control.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in ZLD/ETP/RO/Evaporation plant operations.
• Distillery/ethanol/chemical plant exposure preferred.
• ITI or Diploma in Chemical/Mechanical/Environmental Eng.
• Certification in Wastewater/ZLD operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor ZLD system including ETP, UF, RO, CPU.
• Maximize water recovery and manage feed/reject flows.
• Maintain chemical dosing systems and perform CIP/backwashing.
• Record hourly logs and ensure ZLD compliance with norms.
• Coordinate with Evaporation and Dryer teams for concentrates.

Job description

The Role

We are seeking an experienced ETP / CPU Operator to operate and maintain the Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system. The candidate will be responsible for treating effluent streams, maximizing water recovery, and ensuring zero discharge compliance through proper operation of RO, UF, CPU, Evaporation, and recycling systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor complete ZLD system, including:
  • ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant)
  • UF (Ultrafiltration)
  • RO (Reverse Osmosis)
  • CPU (Condensate Polishing Unit)
  • Integration with Evaporation & Dryer sections
• Monitor:
  • Feed, permeate, and reject flows
  • Recovery %, rejection %, and system efficiency
• Ensure maximum water recovery and reuse
• Maintain proper operation of Chemical dosing systems (SMBS, Antiscalant, PAC, Caustic, HCL, Polymers)
• Carry out Membrane cleaning (CIP), backwashing, flushing cycles
• Monitor and control TDS, pH, conductivity, turbidity (as per lab inputs)
• Coordinate with Evaporation & Dryer teams for handling rejects and concentrate
• Maintain shift-wise and hourly logs in system
• Ensure strict adherence to ZLD and Pollution Control Board norms

Qualifications

Must have

• 3-6 years in ZLD / ETP / RO / Evaporation plant operations
• Experience in distillery / ethanol / chemical plants highly preferred
• ITI / Diploma in Chemical / Mechanical / Environmental Engineering
• Certification in Wastewater / ZLD operation (preferred)
