Job summary

Ultramarine & Pigments is seeking an ETP Trainee to assist in operating and maintaining the Effluent Treatment Plant, ensuring proper treatment of wastewater and adherence to environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment and ETP processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operation of the ETP.
• Monitor ETP parameters (pH, flow, COD, BOD, TSS).
• Collect wastewater and treated-water samples as scheduled.
• Maintain ETP logbooks, checklists and records.
• Assist in chemical preparation and dosing; monitor inventory.
• Monitor pumps, blowers, agitators, and dosing systems.
• Identify abnormalities and report to ETP in-charge.
• Support preventive maintenance and housekeeping in ETP area.
• Coordinate with lab for water wastewater testing.
• Ensure handling/disposal of sludge and ETP waste.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE, and environmental regs.
• Support statutory documentation and inspections.
• Perform other ETP-related duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the day-to-day operation of the ETP.

• Collect wastewater and treated-water samples as per the required schedule.
• Maintain ETP logbooks, checklists, and operational records.
• Assist in chemical preparation, dosing, and inventory monitoring.
• Monitor pumps, blowers, agitators, dosing systems, and other ETP equipment.
• Identify abnormalities in plant operation and report them to the ETP in-charge.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and housekeeping within the ETP area.
• Coordinate with the laboratory for water and wastewater testing.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of sludge and other ETP waste.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Support statutory documentation, inspections, and environmental compliance activities.
• Perform any other ETP-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Freshers can apply.
