Job summary

PERSOL is seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer for the equipment fabrication and manufacturing domain in Maharashtra. The role focuses on independent cost estimation for turnkey projects across piping, structural, utilities and instrumentation, with exposure to heat exchangers, pressure vessels, reactors and distillation columns.

You will review technical and commercial proposals, coordinate with engineering, quality and purchasing teams, maintain pricing databases, and track proposal

Qualifications

• Must have experience in equipment fabrication/manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of heat exchangers, pressure vessels, reactors, distillation columns and similar process equipment.
• Capable of independently performing the estimation of above.
• Exposure to turnkey projects including piping, structural, utilities and instrumentation.
• Basic process engineering background (not strictly required).

Responsibilities

• Review and finalize technical and commercial proposals prepared by Proposal Executives aligned with clients requirement.
• Check detailed cost estimation done by Proposal Executives for equipment & turnkey setup.
• Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to address deviations or clarifications of enquiry specs.
• Maintain up-to-date pricing databases for material, labour, and bought out items in coordination with purchase dept.
• Manage proposal schedules to ensure timely preparation and delivery.
• Maintain records of reference jobs / proposals to accelerate repetitive proposal tasks.
• Track and monitor proposal timelines with seniors and HOD.
• Clarify technical queries with clients and consultants during pre-bid stages.
• Co-ordination with Purchase department for getting updated Prices of raw materials/ BO/ Special MOC.
• Regular validation of standard format of offer & cost estimation sheets.
• Understanding basic process calculations & mechanical design calculations required for sales stage equipment sizing
