Job summary

Job Search in Thane (W) is urgently seeking an Estimation Engineer for a client manufacturing chemical plant equipment (FRP/GRP, PP-FRP, PVDF-FRP). The role covers tender reviews, BOQ linking, RFQ processing and cost estimation.

You will prepare technical and commercial responses, analyze costs including materials, manpower and indirects, and support cost variance analyses and client clarifications. Fresher’s may apply; upto 3 years experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Estimation experience or fresher consideration.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic spreadsheet work.
• Strong data entry accuracy and confidentiality.
• Ability to evaluate tenders and prepare BOQs.

Responsibilities

• Study scope of work and tender documents to prepare review sheets and BOQs.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate technical proposals and prepare quotation comparisons.
• Calculate direct and indirect costs and link inputs to project specs.
• Assist in cost variance analysis and client clarification replies.
• Follow up with vendors and clients on quotations.

Role & responsibilities

Urgent required for Estimation Engineer at Kapurbawdi Junction, Thane (W)our client into Manufacturers of Chemical Plants Equipments made out of Industrial Plastics like FRP (GRP), PP-FRP, PPH- FRP, PVDF-FRP

Position Estimation Engineer -

job timimg: 9.30 to 6.30Monday to Saturday alternate Saturday off

Education qualification: BSc, BE or Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical

years of experience : upto 3 years, Fresher’s are also eligible for this position.

Roles and responsibilities

• Study the scope of work & tender document and prepare the tender review sheet then prepare/review the basic design, create the estimation BOQ and link it with client BOQ.
• Prepare & Send out RFQ for (materials, vendors & subcontractors), follow-up, prepare technical evaluation sheet, send & acquire responses and compliance sheets to prepare quotation comparison sheet Advise the best quotation on the basis of the technical proposals submitted, compliance to scope of work and delivery period of long lead items.
• Calculate the direct cost for each item by analyzing the item to its basics (Material, Equipment & Manpower) all conforming with the project specifications & ensure pricing inputs are supported by adequate Basis of Estimate and Bill of Quantities.
• Calculate/assist in the calculation of other costs (Engineering, supervision, management, site & camp facilities, transportation, clearance, taxes, insurances, permits, license ... etc).
• Participate in Cost Variance analysis and invoices.
• After sending technical or/and commercial and during the course of technical and commercial evaluation by the Client, prepare the reply to the clarification requests issued by the Client regarding the submitted tender

and attend post clarification meeting.

• Follow up of venders & clients regarding inquiry & quotations

Required skills:

• Candidate should have minimum 2 years of Estimation experience
• Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized spreadsheet programs
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
• Excellent data entry skills
• Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently or as a team member
• Maintain Data and Present it whenever require
