Job summary

Job Search is seeking an Estimation Engineer for our Thane (W) location. You will study tender scope, prepare the estimation BOQ and coordinate with vendors and clients throughout the tender process.

The role requires 2 years of estimation experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy. Freshers may also apply, with training provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Study the scope of work and tender documents; prepare tender review sheets and estimation BOQ linked to client BOQ.
• Prepare and issue RFQ for materials, vendors and subcontractors; follow-up and supply technical evaluations and quotation comparisons.
• Calculate direct costs (materials, equipment, manpower) per project specs with Basis of Estimate and BOQ.
• Estimate other costs (engineering, supervision, site facilities, transportation, taxes, insurances, permits).
• Participate in cost variance analysis and invoicing.
• Prepare responses to client clarification requests during tender evaluations and attend post clarification meetings.
• Follow up with vendors and clients regarding inquiries and quotations.

Urgent required for *Estimation Engineer* at Kapurbawdi Junction, Thane (W)

Our client into Manufacturers of Chemical Plants Equipments made out of Industrial Plastics like FRP (GRP), PP-FRP, PPH- FRP, PVDF-FRP

Position - Estimation Engineer -

Job timing: 9.30 to 6.30

Monday to Saturday alternate Saturday off

Education qualification: BSc, BE or Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical

Years of experience: up to 3 years, Freshers are also eligible for this position.

Roles and responsibilities

• Study the scope of work & tender document and prepare the tender review sheet then prepare/review the basic design, create the estimation BOQ and link it with client BOQ.
• Prepare & Send out RFQ for (materials, vendors & subcontractors), follow-up, prepare technical evaluation sheet, send & acquire responses and compliance sheets to prepare quotation comparison sheet Advise the best quotation on the basis of the technical proposals submitted, compliance to scope of work and delivery period of long lead items.
• Calculate the direct cost for each item by analyzing the item to its basics (Material, Equipment & Manpower) all conforming with the project specifications & ensure pricing inputs are supported by adequate Basis of Estimate and Bill of Quantities.
• Calculate/assist in the calculation of other costs (Engineering, supervision, management, site & camp facilities, transportation, clearance, taxes, insurances, permits, license ... etc).
• Participate in Cost Variance analysis and invoices.
• After sending technical or/and commercial and during the course of technical and commercial evaluation by the Client, prepare the reply to the clarification requests issued by the Client regarding the submitted tender

and attend post clarification meeting.

• Follow up of venders & clients regarding inquiry & quotations

Required skills

• Candidate should have minimum 2 years of Estimation experience
• Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized spreadsheet programs
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
• Excellent data entry skills
• Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently or as a team member
• Maintain Data and Present it whenever require
