About Digital Services

Digital Services is the run organization within Digital, responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of our global application and technology landscape. Beyond ensuring business continuity, the team drives continuous improvement in efficiency, effectiveness, and service quality, working closely with Vendor Management, IT Procurement, and Legal. As an orchestration capability, Digital Services manages and governs services across Application Services and Technology Services, ensuring that operations, suppliers, and projects function as one integrated ecosystem. The function follows ITIL best practices, focusing on end‑to‑end service lifecycle management — from service design and transition to operation and improvement. Each service domain is led by a Service Owner, accountable for service delivery, continuous improvement, and lifecycle management in close alignment with Product Owners and business stakeholders.

Role Overview

The SAP SCM Consultant / Business Analyst will be a key member of the Core ERP (Digital Services) in‑house team, responsible for managing and improving SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions across the enterprise. This role bridges functional consulting, business analysis, and AMS coordination, ensuring operational excellence while enabling strategic improvement initiatives. The consultant will initially work on the existing ECC landscape, supporting ongoing operations, AMS activities, and continuous improvement. Over the coming years, as the organization transitions to FORCE S/4HANA, the role will evolve to support the phased migration from ECC to S/4HANA — ensuring smooth template transition, data readiness, and alignment of business processes across both platforms. Reporting to the Service Owner, the consultant will act as the functional and technical liaison between internal teams and the AMS partner, driving high‑quality service delivery while promoting automation, innovation, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a service‑oriented professional with strong SAP SCM expertise and a passion for scalable, efficient service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Management & Operational Excellence Own and drive the day‑to‑day delivery of SAP SCM services, ensuring alignment with SLAs and business expectations.
  • Guide the AMS partner in following structured service delivery practices, ensuring compliance with agreed SLAs and continuous improvement targets.
  • Lead ITSM process maturity across incident, problem, change, and request management areas.
  • Ensure service stability by proactively identifying risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Application Management & Support (AMS) Serve as the functional lead within the Core ERP AMS team for SCM‑related modules (MM, PP, QM, LE, EWM, TM). Collaborate with the AMS partner to manage incidents, problem tickets, and service requests. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or high‑impact issues, implementing permanent corrective actions. Safeguard and maintain the ERP global template and ensure alignment of enhancements with corporate standards.
  • Continuous Improvement, Automation & Innovation Identify and automate repetitive manual processes to improve service efficiency. Lead process improvement initiatives leveraging Lean and automation principles. Contribute to the SCM roadmap and modernization efforts, aligning with Digital Services’ innovation goals. Drive adoption of new tools and techniques to improve service reliability and operational agility.
  • Project Participation & Transformation Act as the SCM functional expert during SAP S/4HANA transition and implementation projects. Support blueprinting, configuration, testing, and cutover activities for rollouts or enhancements. Collaborate with project teams to ensure ECC‑to‑S/4HANA migration readiness and smooth transition. Contribute to post‑go‑live stabilization and hypercare support.
  • Collaboration, Governance & Stakeholder Engagement Work with Service Owners, Product Owners, and Business Process Owners to align service delivery with business priorities. Actively participate in CABs, service review boards, and governance sessions. Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing within Digital Services and AMS teams. Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by translating technical service topics into business outcomes.
  • Financial Management Support cost optimization initiatives and execute service improvement plans to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 8 - 10 years of hands‑on experience in SAP SCM modules (MM, PP, QM, LE, or EWM/TM). Strong understanding of end‑to‑end Supply Chain processes (Plan‑to‑Produce, Procure‑to‑Pay, Order‑to‑Cash). Proven track record in SAP AMS or support environments, including change management and problem analysis. Experience with SAP S/4HANA functionality and integration across domains. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills; able to drive root cause identification and permanent fixes. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, global environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a hybrid AMS model (in‑house + partner‑managed). Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process optimization. SAP certification in SCM or S/4HANA modules. Experience with RPA, integration, or automation use cases within ERP processes. ITIL Foundation certification (or equivalent understanding of service management processes).
