Job summary

Zaco Computers Pvt Ltd is seeking a Server Engineer to ensure optimal performance of server, storage, and networking infrastructure. You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and replace server hardware components across leading OEMs, and address on-site issues through fieldwork.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, log analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Certification like CCNA is advantageous, and a willingness to work in a 24x7 environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in supporting server, storage, and networking hardware from leading OEMs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware issues.
• Familiarity with generating and analyzing log reports to identify trends and potential problems.
• CCNA or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
• Willingness for 24x7 environment and fieldwork when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for rack, blade, and tower servers from leading OEMs such as HPE, Dell EMC, IBM / Lenovo, NetApp, Cisco, and other major brands.
• Assist with installation and configuration of routers, switches, and firewalls from Cisco, Aruba & Juniper (Good to Have).
• Perform installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and replacement of server, storage, and networking devices.
• Diagnose hardware issues related to servers, storage systems, and networking equipment, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Generate and analyze log reports from servers and storage systems of major OEMs to identify potential issues and proactively address them.
• Engage in fieldwork as and when required to address on-site hardware issues.
• Collaborate with the service delivery team to resolve IT hardware-related issues efficiently.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to optimize the overall customer experience.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the management.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work in a 24x7 environment and engage in fieldwork when necessary.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent are advantageous. (Good to Have)
• Prior experience in in-house spare testing and troubleshooting is a plus.
