Job summary

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd seeks a General Manager – Engineering Head to lead engineering operations at our site, ensuring GMP-aligned practices, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications

• B.Tech/M.Tech required.
• 22–25 years of relevant engineering leadership experience.
• Experience in GMP/regulatory environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of cGMP measures to meet regulatory requirements.
• Oversee operation, maintenance, validation, revalidation, qualification, requalification and distribution of utilities (Power, HVAC, Water, Steam, etc.).
• Budget engineering department and manage expenses per approved budget.
• Coordinate with corporate engineering for implementation of improvement projects.
• Decide work allocation and vendor selection for outsourced jobs; check and approve bills.
• Plan and implement preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Approve budget allocation for spares each year; procurement of spares and consumables.
• Coordinate with vendors for all equipment & machinery; review deviations, change control & CAPA in Track-Wise; SOP in DCM; Training in LMS.

Key responsibilities

• To ensure implementation of cGMP measures to meet the regulatory requirements.
• Oversee operation, maintenance, validation, revalidation, qualification, requalification and distribution of various utilities To Pharma blocks (including Power, HVAC, Water, Compressed Air and steam etc.
• Budgeting of engineering department and cor. on expenses as per approved budget.
• Coordination with corporate engineering team for implementation of various Improvement projects.
• To decide work allocation/vendor selection for the out sourced contractual jobs, like civil maintenance, painting, fabrication jobs etc. and .0 check/approve their bills for payments.
• To plan and implement the preventive maintenance program and breakdown maintenance system across all the plant and machinery and ensure minimum downtime.
• To be accountable for budget allocation of spares every year, its approval or rejection.
• Procurement of spares and consumables of all plant and machinery.
• To coordinate with vendors of all equipment & machinery (including imported machines and spares)
• Review of documents deviation, change control & CAPA in Track-Wise, SOP in DCM, Training in LMS
