Job summary

Indus Towers is seeking a field engineer to oversee safe operation and maintenance of telecom tower sites in the assigned area. You will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, monitor outages, perform fault analysis and RCA, and support energy optimization initiatives.

The role requires coordinating with technicians and partner teams on field activities, ensuring site quality, security and safety compliance, and keeping close liaison with landlords and local stakeholders for

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and effective operation & maintenance of telecom tower sites in the assigned area.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per SOPs to maintain site uptime.
• Monitor site outages, perform fault analysis and root cause analysis (RCA), and prevent recurrence.
• Maintain and troubleshoot DG sets, batteries, SMPS/PIU, alarms, and power systems.
• Ensure ESH/EHS compliance, use of PPE, PTW adherence, and safe work practices at all sites.
• Monitor energy performance, diesel usage, EB availability, and support energy optimization initiatives.
• Supervise and coordinate with technicians and partner teams (OME/SME/IME) for field activities.
• Maintain site quality, hygiene, security, and automation compliance through periodic site visits.
• Support customer operations, site access, upgrades, and RFS activities as required.
• Coordinate with landlords and local stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted site access and issue resolution.

Preferred candidate profile

• This is a FIELD ROLE involving extensive site visits and onground operations.
• Open only to FEMALE candidates.
• Only BE/B.Tech (Electrical / Electronics and Communications) preferred.
• Understanding about telecom tower O&M, passive infrastructure, or field maintenance.
• Good working knowledge of DG sets, batteries, SMPS/PIU, power systems, and basic electrical systems.
• Exposure to preventive and corrective maintenance at telecom sites.
• Familiarity with ESH/EHS safety practices, use of PPE, and site SOP compliance.
• Experience in coordinating with technicians, partners (OME/SME/IME), and landlords is an added advantage.
• Good communication skills, problemsolving ability, and readiness to work independently in the field.
