Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in India is seeking a procurement professional to manage end-to-end sourcing, vendor liaison, and purchase order processes. The role emphasizes ERP LN or SAP experience, technical understanding, and strong negotiation skills.

You will coordinate with stores, accounts, QC, and users to ensure timely deliveries, evaluate vendor performance, and support cost analysis with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Procurement and vendor management experience.
• Familiarity with ERP LN or SAP preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100/ISO45001/ISO14000/ISO27001 is desirable.
• Strong costing and price analysis skills.
• Ability to analyze vendor performance and negotiate effectively.
• Good communication and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Obtain purchase requests, solicit quotations, compare, negotiate commercially, and prepare/approve purchase orders.
• Follow up for materials/services with vendors and coordinate with stores, accounts, QC and user departments.
• Vendor development and maintaining a strong geographical vendor network.
• Costing and price analysis, vendor performance analysis; resolve techno-commercial issues with team.

Job description

• Obtaining Purchase requesting, Sending Enquires to suppliers, Obtaining Quotations, preparing Comparison statements, commercial negotiation, purchase order preparation & approval.
• Follow up for material/services to vendor, co-ordination with stores, accounts, QC, and users.
• Vendor Development and good geographical knowledge
• Hands-on working on ERP LN( preferred) / SAP. ISO9001/AS9100, ISO45001, ISO14000, ISO27001 knowhow necessary.
• Purchase planning and Vendor payment management
• Basic electronics knowhow
• Costing and price analysis, Vendor performance Analysis
• Ready to work in challenging environment, good communication skill, self-starter, good trouble-shooter.
• Detailed technical know-how and ability to resolve Vendor related techno-commercial issues in co-ordination with team members of other functions.
