Job summary

Balkrishna Industries (BKT) is seeking an experienced Engineer / Sr. Engineer Production Planning & Control (PPC) for its tyre manufacturing operations.

The role involves preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecast and plant capacity, and ensuring on-time dispatch of finished goods. The candidate will coordinate across multiple teams (Production, Stores, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance, Dispatch) and perform MRP to guarantee material availability.

Qualifications

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
• Monitor adherence to dispatch commitments and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams for smooth material flow and plan execution.
• Carry out MRP and ensure availability of raw materials, packing materials, and bought-out items.
• Track inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to avoid shortages and excess stock.
• Optimize machine loading, manpower utilization, and production sequencing for better plant efficiency.
• Follow up on production progress, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to meet plan attainment.
• Prepare and maintain PPC MIS reports related to production status, capacity utilization, shortages, pending orders, and dispatch plans.
• Ensure coordination for on-time dispatch of finished goods as per customer schedule.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead time, improve OTIF, and optimize inventory.
• Work in ERP/SAP for planning, order tracking, inventory monitoring, and reporting.
