Job summary

Matrix Comsec is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the execution of mechanical design and development tasks for innovative security and telecom products. You will mentor team members and apply your expertise in CAD, tolerances, and thermal management to meet demanding performance criteria.

The candidate should have 2+ years of experience, a BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering, and hands-on work with sheet metal, plastics molding, and precision assemblies.

Qualifications

• Experience in full New product development cycle.
• 2+ years in developing engineering designs for components and electromechanical assemblies with thermal, precision, reliability, manufacturability and cost constraints.
• Knowledge of sheet metal and plastics molding processes, mold trials, and mold flow analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of mechanical design and development tasks for projects.
• Mentor other team members in design practices and methodologies.
• Apply CAD and tolerance analysis to ensure robust product designs.

Who are you

You will be primarily responsible for leading the execution of the mechanical design and development tasks in a project and mentoring other members on the team. You will use your design skillset, technical core competencies and expertise to solve problems and have the ability to affect short and long term goals.

Experience : 2+ Years

Qualification : B.E/B.tech/M.E/M.tech (in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed Institution/University or Post Graduation from IGTR, CIPET, German Tool Room engineering or Plastic Engineering)

Desired Skill Characteristics

• Must have practical experience in full New product development cycle.
• At least 2+ years of experience in developing engineering design concepts for components and electromechanical assemblies that has demanding requirements for thermal dissipation, precision, reliability, manufacturability and cost.
• Experience in Sheet Metal, Plastics Injection molding, tool trials, Mold maintenance, Mold flow analyses & related process parameter understanding.
• Experience and knowledge in pressure die-casting process & designing Die casted components.
• Good knowledge of various manufacturing process with extensive experience manufacturing of plastic components and metal components for hand held consumer electronic devices.
• Experience in carrying out Risk Analysis activities using established Risk analysis tools like DFMEA, DFA, PFMEA.
• Experience in design and development of consumer electronics devices and related processes.
• Exposure to PLM Team centre etc.
• Strong CAD skills (Solid Edge/Creo) including 3D model design, tolerance specifications and tolerance stack up analysis
• Knowledge/exposure to thermal engineering, Optics & electro mechanical components.
• Knowledge in electronic enclosure compliances like CE, FCC, BIS, NEMA & Military grade
