Job summary

Cygni Energy in Hyderabad (Maheshwaram), Telangana, is seeking an Engineer - Quality to lead inward quality control, SQA and calibration oversight for battery manufacturing. You will ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and QMS, coordinate with Purchase, R&D and suppliers, and drive CAPA actions with data-driven analysis on the shop floor.

The role requires a BE/BTech in Electrical/Electronic engineering and 3–4 years in quality within battery manufacturing.

Qualifications

• B Tech/BE in Electrical/Electronic engineering.
• 3-4 years in Quality, preferably in battery/Li-ion/lead-acid manufacturing.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and QMS processes.
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to work on the shop floor and learn manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Inward Quality, SQA, and incoming material data sheets; IQC sampling and documentation.
• Maintain calibration records and audit equipment.
• Decide actions based on test results; coordinate with Purchase and Store for corrective actions.
• Prepare checklists, flow charts, 5S, Kaizens, 7 QC Tools, CAPA implementation and new processes.
• Manage test data, MIS, and daily product testing status.
• Coordinate with Supplier, R&D, and Purchase for revisions, BOMs, and samples.
• Handle SQA vendor audits and reduce rejection rate with MSA and SPC studies.
• Act as ISO Co-Ordinator for QMS & IATF audits.
• Handle customer complaints and record tracking for CAPA.

Responsible for market development, and operational sales work with assigned Key Accounts. Leads sales and product management efforts to assigned Automotive Key Accounts. What you’ll Get to Do:

Responsibilities:

• Will be responsible for overall Inward Quality , SQA, Data sheet collection of Incoming material, IQC sampling of Incoming material, Document preparation, Correct material go to shop floor.
• Maintain Record of calibration and conduct audit for equipment calibration.
• Shall be responsible for taking decision as per test results, giving prompt feedback to Purchase and store, immediate Corrective actions, and ensuring process complying as per Technical specifications, liaising and coordination with all stake holders.
• Will be responsible for preparation of Checklists, flow charts, One point lessons, Dos & DON’Ts, implementation of 5S, Kaizens, 7 QC Tools, Root Cause analysis, CAPA (Corrective Action Preventive Action), implementation of new processes, streamlining.
• Test Data up keep, MIS, Daily product testing status, PPT Presentations
• Coordination with Supplier, R&D, and Purchase for implementation of new revisions, BOMs, new products, samples etc.
• Handle SQA vendor audits and responsible for reduction of rejection rate along with MSA, SPC studies
• Acts as an ISO Co-Ordinator for QMS & IATF Audits.
• Handling customer Complaints & Record tracking for CAPA

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Quality Control and Manufacturing Processes.
• Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone and Pareto is preferred.
• Basic understanding of IATF 16949, Control Plan, PFMEA and Inspection Standards.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good observation, communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to work on the shop floor and learn manufacturing processes.

Education & Experience:

• B Tech/BE in Electrical/Electronic engineering or comparable study paths
• 3- 4years in Quality, preferably in battery/Li-ion/lead-acid manufacturing
