Job summary

CYGNI Energy in Hyderabad (TS) is seeking a result-driven Engineer - Quality to strengthen our battery manufacturing team. You will lead quality control activities on the shop floor, performing PDI, FQC and in-process inspections while ensuring adherence to customer specifications and IATF 16949 standards.

You will maintain records, calibrate measuring equipment, and conduct root cause analyses for cost of poor quality.

Qualifications

• B Tech/BE in Electrical/Electronic engineering.
• 3–4 years of quality experience, preferably in battery/Li-ion/lead-acid manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, PFMEA, Control Plan and inspection standards.
• Willingness to work on the shop floor and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PDI inspection as per Customer specification.
• Carry out FQC inspection as per control plan.
• Carry out in-process inspection as per control plan.
• Maintain records and documents as per IATF 16949 requirements.
• Calibrate and maintain measuring equipment on the shop floor.
• Root cause analysis for cost of poor quality.
• Handle any other assignments given by HOD.

Responsible for market development, and operational sales work with assigned Key Accounts. Leads sales and product management efforts to assigned Automotive Key Accounts. Leads the selling process for all battery products. Acts as primary point of contact for assigned Key Accounts. Leverages relationship between customer, market and Cygni management. Analyses feasibility of technical specs in RFQ’s.

What you’ll Get to Do:

Responsibilities:

• Carry out PDI inspection as per Customer specification.


• Carry out FQC inspection as per control plan


• Carry out in process inspection as per control plan


• Responsible for maintaining records and documents as per IATF 16949:2016 requirement.


• Calibration and maintenance of measuring equipment’s in Quality


• Root cause analysis for cost of poor quality on shop floor


• Any other assignments given by HOD

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Quality Control and Manufacturing Processes.


• Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone and Pareto is preferred.


• Basic understanding of IATF 16949, Control Plan, PFMEA and Inspection Standards.


• Good knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.


• Good observation, communication and documentation skills.


• Willingness to work on the shop floor and learn manufacturing processes.

Education & Experience:

• B Tech/BE in Electrical/Electronic engineering or comparable study paths


• 3- 4years in Quality, preferably in battery/Li-ion/lead-acid manufacturing
