Job summary

Cygni Energy in Hyderabad invites a CAD/FEA Engineer – Product Engineering to design, analyze and optimize battery and EV components. You will create 2D/3D models, run simulations, and collaborate with design, manufacturing and procurement to meet performance goals.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of design/prototyping experience, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo) and hands-on Ansys/FEA experience, plus good communication and documentation abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities for FEA simulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for reporting and collaboration.
• 3–5 years experience in design, prototyping, or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D/3D models, blueprints, and prototypes using CAD/CAE tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Optimize designs for production (DFM) including tooling and material specs.
• Prototype construction, product testing, and revisions based on performance feedback.
• Create Bill of Materials and manage BOMs.
• Maintain design records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Perform FEA analyses: static, modal, harmonic, random vibration, shock, fatigue.

Responsible for market development, and operational sales work with assigned Key Accounts. Leads sales and product management efforts to assigned Automotive Key Accounts. Leads the selling process for all battery products. Acts as primary point of contact for assigned Key Accounts. Leverages relationship between customer, market and Cygni management. Analyses feasibility of technical specs in RFQ’s.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Create 2D/3D models, blueprints, and prototypes using CAD/CAE tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Optimize designs for production (DFM), including injection molding, tooling selection, and material specifications.
• Prototype construction, product testing, and revision based on performance feedback.
• Creation of Bill of Materials. Manufacturing BOM & procurement BOM.
• Maintain design records, technical reports, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct the FEA Static structural analysis,Modal analysis,Harmonic response,Random vibration / PSD analysis, Shock and impact analysis and Fatigue and durability analysis
• Work with industrial designers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.

Educational Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities for testing and FEA simulation and Ansys tool kowledge
• Excellent verbal and written skills for reporting and inter-departmental collaboration.
• Must have 3 – 5 Years’ experience in design, prototyping, or manufacturing environments is typically required.
