Job summary

The role requires 7–10 years in battery production, BE/B.Tech, and proven leadership of large production teams.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in Production, preferably in battery/Li-ion/lead-acid manufacturing.
• Bachelor/Engineering degree in relevant field required.
• Experience leading large production teams and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end production activities for BESS manufacturing facility.

This Role: We are looking for a skilled Manager in Production. Control of all assembly operational aspects including production, plant production development, health & safety within assigned. P olicy guidelines to drive the performance of key result areas on production activities and continuous implementation monitoring.

Responsible for market development, and operational sales work with assigned Key Accounts. Leads sales and product management efforts to assigned Automotive Key Accounts. Leads the selling process for all battery products. Acts as primary point of contact for assigned Key Accounts. Leverages relationship between customer, market and Cygni management. Analyses feasibility of technical specs in RFQ’s.

What you’ll Get to Do:

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage end-to-end production activities for the BESS manufacturing facility.
• Ensure achievement of production targets related to output, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Develop and implement production plans in coordination with Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
• Monitor and optimize production performance through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources.
• Manufacturing Excellence
• Drive operational excellence through implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Establish and maintain standardized work practices, process controls, and productivity enhancement programs.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and manufacturing best practices.
• Automation & Process Management
• Manage and optimize fully automated manufacturing lines for battery module and pack assembly.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Automation teams to improve equipment efficiency, uptime, and throughput.
• Lead process improvement projects to enhance automation effectiveness and operational reliability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a large production workforce, including supervisors, engineers, and operators.
• Manage workforce planning, performance management, training, and succession planning initiatives.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• EHS & Compliance
• Ensure strict compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and company policies.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure implementation of all statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety reviews, risk assessments, and corrective action programs.
• Maintenance & Reliability
• Work closely with the Maintenance team to ensure maximum equipment availability and operational efficiency.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
• Reporting & Performance Management
• Monitor and report key manufacturing KPIs including OEE, productivity, quality, yield, downtime, and cost performance.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions to achieve operational targets and business objectives.

Education & Experience:

• B.E./B.Tech - Mechanical/EEE/ Industrial Engineering.

7-10 years in Production, preferably in battery/Li-ion/lead-acid manufacturing
