Job summary

Sharp Point HR Consulting is seeking a Quality Engineer in Mahad, Maharashtra. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of incoming, in-process, and final products through inspection, welding/fabrication checks, and basic NDT methods.

The candidate should be familiar with reading engineering drawings, using Vernier Calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, and coordinating with the Production team for corrective actions. ITI/ diploma or BE/ BTech in mechanical is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality inspection and control processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with NCR, CAPA and basic quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspection of components and fabricated assemblies.
• Inspect welding and fabrication work for fit-up, alignment, dimensions and workmanship.
• Perform visual inspection of weld joints and identify basic welding defects.
• Understand NDT methods such as DPT, MPT, UT, and RT at a basic level.
• Check components and assemblies as per drawings, dimensions, tolerances and specs.
• Use measuring instruments like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and Height Gauge.
• Monitor compliance with quality requirements during manufacturing.
• Coordinate with Production team for corrective actions on quality issues.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and related documentation.
• Assist in NCR handling, root cause analysis, and CAPA activities.
• Collaborate with Production and other departments to resolve quality issues.

Job Objective

We are looking for a Quality Engineer with basic knowledge of Quality Inspection, Welding, Fabrication, and NDT to ensure the quality of incoming, in-process, and final products as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspection of components and fabricated assemblies.
• Inspect welding and fabrication work for proper fit-up, alignment, dimensions, and workmanship.
• Perform visual inspection of weld joints and identify basic welding defects.

Candidate Profile

• ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical candidates can apply.
• 1 year of relevant experience is also acceptable.
• Freshers with relevant technical knowledge/exposure in Quality, Welding, Fabrication, or NDT may also be considered.
• Candidates from fabrication, engineering, pressure equipment, process equipment, or manufacturing industries will be preferred.
