Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Surat seeks a Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years in Quality Control and inspection of Casting, Forging, Fabrication and Machining components. The role requires hands-on experience with precision measurement and NDT on castings.

Candidates should know ASME Sec 9, WPS and PQR, material grades CS/AS/SS, and hold ASNT Level II certification in NDT. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Control and inspection of Casting, Forging or Fabrication and machining components.
• Knowledge of Fabrication and Machining processes.
• Knowledge of Casting and Forging processes.
• Hands-on experience in precision measurement and use of measuring instruments.
• Experience in inspection of castings and NDT on castings.
• Knowledge of ASME Sec 9, WPS and PQR.
• Knowledge of CS/AS/SS material grades.
• ASNT Level II certification in NDT techniques (VT, UT, MT, RT, PT).
• Experience in preparing QAP and inspection protocols/CTQs.
• Internal ISO 9001 auditor (preferable).
• Good communication and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of steam turbine and generator components (preferable).
• Familiarity with 7 QC tools, 8D, RCA techniques.

• Should have process knowledge of Fabrication and Machining.
• Should have process knowledge of Casting and Forging.
• Should have hands on experience in precision measurement & handling measuring instruments.
• Should have Hands on Experience in Inspection of castings, NDT on Castings .
• Should have knowledge of ASME Sec 9, WPS and PQR.
• Should have knowledge of material Grades of CS , AS and SS
• Should be Qualified in ASNT level II certification in NDT techniques - VT , UT, MT, RT and PT.
• Should have experience in Preparation of QAP and Inspection protocol/CTQ's.
• Should be an internal auditor in ISO 9001. preferable
• Should have Good Communication skills and comfortable to work in team.
• Should have knowledge of steam Turbine and Generators components. Preferable
