Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with 3+ years in engine development and proto-to-production transition. You will drive build activities, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and apply DFMEA/CAPA to ensure on‑time delivery and quality.

You will work in a fast paced automotive environment in Tamil Nadu, collaborating with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to streamline engine builds from concept to production.»

Qualifications

• BE Mech with 3+ years in engine/project development.
• Must understand proto engine build process and CAPA.
• Strong communication and cross functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate proto engine builds with plan to production transition.
• Act as a bridge between Project and Plant for seamless project execution.
• Effectively communicate across upward, downward and lateral directions.
• Address build concerns using DFMEA and related validation methods.

Job description

• Technology orientation with Business Acumen: Has a mindset in achieving excellence in Power Train Build & Supply chain, use of right techniques for Proto Power Train build by reviewing and planning for all engine projects.
• Networking & Relationship development: Build networks both internal and external agencies to enhance the product quality, knowledge base and delivery.
• Knowledge of overall engine build process, Control Plan, 7QC keeping in mind First Time Right, Quality and Application.
• Knowledge in SCM with focus on “On Time Delivery” and its logistics.
• Knowledge of build concerns of all proto builds engine its tracking mechanism and lateral implementation of CAPA on other projects.
• Ability to comprehend technical issues in the above mentioned areas and technically steer the team towards success.
• Knowledge of tools & techniques like DFMEA, Valve Lift, Bowl Volume and other protocol requirements for Proto Engine Build.
• Foresees obstacles & take timely corrective actions to provide effective validation of engine for all project teams.
• Smooth transition of engine from proto to productionisation.
• Act as strong bridge betwen Project to plant for Project implementation.
• Strong Communication Skills to Effectively communicate upward, downward, and laterally.
