Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited invites engineers for advanced diesel engine calibration and optimization projects. You will work on common rail fuel injection strategies, emission systems, calibration practices, and validation activities to ensure performance targets.

The role requires hands-on experience with INCA and VISU, knowledge of Bosch/Delphi EMS software, and strong analytical and teamwork skills. A background in mechanical/automobile engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.Tech/B.E in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
• Good Knowledge in Diesel engine Combustion and Calibration.
• Hands on experience on INCA, VISU.
• Hands on experience and good understanding on Bosch, Delphi EMS software structure and calibration procedures.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Optimizing Diesel Common Rail Fuel Injection systems in the area of - Injection control strategy, Exhaust After Treatment systems ( LNT, SCR, DPF ) Calibration Strategies, Rail pressure control strategy, Vehicle start ability, Vehicle drivability, Vehicle emission dvp etc for various current and upcoming Common Rail Engines and Vehicle testing to analysis the performance of the vehicle.
• Should be able to perform feasibility study with help of supplier for any hardware (eg FIE system/Combustion sys/Turbocharger) which will give direction for the project.
• Analyse the issues arising out of test , validation to confirm the design by root cause analysis of the problems / issues by using various problem solving techniques like Global 8D or deviation analysis or engine mapping exercise or development of multidimensional input-output maps among different engine variables.
• Emission & Performance Robustness consistency and homologation trials for engines by type approval completion.
• Sound understanding on Quality adherence processes/VAVE generation of ideas

• 5 to 7 years post B.Tech/B.E
