Job summary

Pasona in Tamil Nadu invites applications for a Manufacturing Supervisor to manage shift production, drive quality, safety and productivity, and ensure on-time delivery across the line.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years' supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong lean manufacturing knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office. Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO14001 and ISO45001, and ability to mentor Diploma and BE holders are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all shift manufacturing activities including output, quality, safety, and productivity.
• Monitor and improve processes to meet targets using cross-functional teams.
• Maintain shop floor discipline and safety, and enforce company policies.
• Be prepared to work in shifts.
• Implement world-class manufacturing concepts such as 5S, TPM, TQM, TPS and Kaizen on the shop floor.
• Provide coaching and direction to employees and identify training needs with the Manufacturing Manager.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred.


• Minimum 4 6 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required; experience in the automotive industry preferred.


• Strong technical skills and knowledge of lean manufacturing processes/procedures required.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manufacturing process knowledge which includes VMC, CNC, & HMC, Robo, thread roiling,

• Resolve employee issues, ensure positive employee relations, and promote and enforce all company policies fairly and consistently.


• Responsible for area performance measures and individual employee work performance; provide coaching and direction to employees; and work with the Manufacturing Manager to identify development and/or training needs for employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for all manufacturing activities in shift-production output, quality, safety, productivity, discipline etc.


• Analysis of in process rejection through CFT teams

• Responsible for carrying out continuous improvements in his shift.


• Responsible for keeping a tab on the pulse of his operating team- should be able to constantly communicate with them, guide them and motivate them for continuously higher performance.


• Will be required to take active part in implementing world class manufacturing concepts such as 5-S, TPM, TQM., TPS, Kaizen, etc in the shop floor.
