Job summary

JTEKT INDIA LTD. in Haryana, Rewari, is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.

You will troubleshoot CNC and automated equipment, read mechanical drawings, and conduct regular inspections to ensure reliability and availability. The role requires implementing corrective actions, maintaining MTBF/MTTR records, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and actively participating in TPM and Kaizen activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, manuals and layouts.
• Conduct regular inspection and condition monitoring of critical components.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of production machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues in CNC machines, SPMs, grinding machines, and automated equipment.
• Handle maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, cooling, and mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, machine manuals, and equipment layouts.
• Conduct regular inspection and condition monitoring of critical machine components.
• Execute and monitor the Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule.
• Analyse recurring breakdowns and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce downtime and repeat break downs.
• Maintain records of breakdowns, PM activities, spare parts, MTBF, MTTR, and machine availability.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and external vendors for maintenance activities.
• Maintain and control critical mechanical spare parts.
• Participate in TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, LOTO, EHS, and standard maintenance procedures.
• Identify opportunities for downtime reduction, reliability improvement, and maintenance cost reduction.
• Provide technical support during machine breakdowns and production emergencies.
• Willingness to work in shift operations
