Job summary

Ubifly Technologies is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to service and repair manufacturing equipment in Chennai. You will perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot a range of tools, and ensure machines stay safe and operational according to EHS and LOTO protocols.

You will maintain schedules and records, coordinate with vendors for major repairs, and support production to minimize downtime. Independent work ethic and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Familiar with reading equipment manuals and drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Safety-conscious and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Bench Drill, Table Band saw, Industrial Oven, Belt Sander, A-Type Crane, CNC Router, Dremel/Rotary Tools, and other power tools.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control-related issues and carry out necessary repairs.
• Conduct routine inspection, lubrication, alignment, tightening, and replacement of worn-out components.
• Maintain maintenance schedules, checklists, breakdown reports, and equipment service records.
• Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs, servicing, calibration, and inspections.
• Ensure all machines and tools are maintained in safe and operational condition.
• Follow EHS, PPE, LOTO, and machine safety requirements.
• Maintain critical spare parts and raise requirements for maintenance consumables and spares.
• Support production teams to minimize machine downtime and production interruptions.
