Job summary

Insight India is seeking an Engineer III- Technician_Compute to join our NOC operations. The role focuses on ITIL incident, request, and change management with a target to resolve 80%+ of tickets without escalation. English communication is required for all client interactions.

You will work in a hybrid setup across multiple cities, supporting 24x7 client environments, and collaborate with global teams on server technologies and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, System Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of enterprise operations center (NOC) experience.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Proxmox, OpenShift, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Exchange, and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Technicians will have seat adherence requirements and will be expected to maintain immediate availability to answer inbound calls from clients reporting or following up on tasks and tickets.
• Technicians will be expected to prosecute work in order of priority while adhering to SLAs.
• Familiarity with NOC systems and tools such as ScienceLogic, ServiceNow.
• Work with Windows Server, Linux, VMWare Suite (VCF), Proxmox, Red Hat OpenShift, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Exchange and Active Directory.

Job Summary

Technicians are primarily expected to participate in ITIL processes Incident, Request, and Change. Technicians are expected to resolve 80% or more of all incidents assigned to them, without requiring escalation to higher level resources. As the primary intake and incident management team supporting clients, technicians are expected to conduct all business communications in English including verbal and written.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Technicians will have seat adherence requirements and will be expected to maintain immediate availability to answer inbound calls from clients calling to report or follow up on new or existing tasks and tickets.
• Technicians will be expected to successfully prosecute work, in order of priority, while adhering to committed service level agreements.
• Relevant familiarity with NOC systems and tools such as ScienceLogic, ServiceNow.
• Windows Server, Linux, VMWare Suite (VCF), Proxmox, Red Hat OpenShift, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Exchange and Active Directory, and similar enterprise vendor toolsets.

Key Technical Skills

• Bachelors degree or higher, focusing on IT, System Administration, or other related studies.
• Relevant 3 -5 years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience working in an enterprise operations center (NOC) or equivalent environment, providing remote troubleshooting, administration, support, and implementation of server technologies.
• Associate level knowledge of common enterprise systems and associated administration. Experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMWare Suite (VCF), Proxmox, Red Hat OpenShift, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Exchange and Active Directory.
