Job summary

Insight is seeking an Engineer III - Sr. Technician Network to join our hybrid IT operations nationwide, including Delhi NCR and other tech hubs. You will participate in ITIL processes, resolve most incidents at first contact, and communicate clearly in English with clients and teammates.

You'll work with enterprise network tools from ScienceLogic to Cisco Meraki, provide guidance to junior staff, and help improve service levels and network reliability across multiple sites in India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or Network Engineering.
• Experience in an enterprise NOC or equivalent remote troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, VPN, SD-WAN, and wireless features.
• Associate to professional level certification (CCNA or equivalent).
• Ability to meet SLA targets and mentor junior teammates.

Responsibilities

• Participate in ITIL processes: Incident, Request, and Change.
• Resolve 80%+ incidents without escalation to higher resources.
• Communicate in English, both verbal and written, with clients.
• Mentor and train junior colleagues and assist with workload distribution.
• Serve as escalation point and support supervisory- and engineering-track growth.

Job Summary

Senior Technicians are primarily expected to participate in ITIL processes Incident, Request, and Change. Senior Technicians are expected to resolve 80% or more, of all incidents assigned to them, without requiring escalation to higher level resources. Senior technicians are expected to conduct all business communications in English including verbal and written.

Roles And Responsibility

Relevant familiarity with NOC systems and tools such as ScienceLogic, ServiceNow.Cisco IOS and CLI, Aruba Central, FortiManager, Cisco Meraki, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto Prisma, Cisco Catalyst Center Manager, and similar enterprise vendor toolsets.Has relevant associate-level certification (CCNA or equivalent), working towards professional level certification.Senior Technicians will have seat adherance requirements, and will be expected to maintain immediate availability to answer inbound calls from clients calling to report or follow up on new or existing tasks and tickets.Senior Technicians will be expected to successfully prosecute work, in order of priority, while adhering to committed service level agreements.Senior Technicians will service as a mentor and trainer for junior level teammates, serve as an on-level point of escalation for assistance, and may be called upon to help orchestrate the distribution of work as so directed by the on-duty supervisor.Senior technicians have demonstrated themselves as a highly effective member in a technician role, and have shown aptitude and intent to pursue either an initial supervisory, or engineering role - but may not yet have sufficient experience to be successful in those roles.

Key Technical Skills

Bachelors degree focusing on IT, Network Engineering, or other related studies. Demonstrated experience working in an enterprise network operations center (NOC) or equivalent environment, providing remote troubleshooting, administration, support, and implementation of networking technologies. Associate to professional level knowledge of one or more core networking features and functionality including TCP/IP addressing, routing, switching, VPN, SDWan, and wireless access points.
