Job summary

Insight Enterprises is hiring an Engineer III - Sr. Technician Network, a hybrid role spanning Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Pune.

You will engage in ITIL processes—Incident, Request, and Change—and aim to resolve 80% of incidents without escalation while communicating in English. We expect experience in NOC environments and CCNA or equivalent certification, with familiarity to tools like ScienceLogic and ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise NOC with remote troubleshooting and network implementation.
• Associate to professional knowledge of routing, VPN, SD-WAN and wireless concepts.
• CCNA or equivalent certification in progress or holding.

Job Summary:

Senior Technicians are primarily expected to participate in ITIL processes Incident, Request, and Change.Senior Technicians are expected to resolve 80% or more, of all incidents assigned to them, without requiring escalation to higher level resources.Senior technicians are expected to conduct all business communications in English including verbal and written.

Roles and Responsibility:

• Relevant familiarity with NOC systems and tools such as ScienceLogic, ServiceNow.Cisco IOS and CLI, Aruba Central, FortiManager, Cisco Meraki, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto Prisma, Cisco Catalyst Center Manager, and similar enterprise vendor toolsets.
• Has relevant associate-level certification (CCNA or equivalent), working towards professional level certification.
• Senior Technicians will have seat adherance requirements, and will be expected to maintain immediate availability to answer inbound calls from clients calling to report or follow up on new or existing tasks and tickets.
• Senior Technicians will be expected to successfully prosecute work, in order of priority, while adhering to committed service level agreements.
• Senior Technicians will service as a mentor and trainer for junior level teammates, serve as an on-level point of escalation for assistance, and may be called upon to help orchestrate the distribution of work as so directed by the on-duty supervisor.
• Senior technicians have demonstrated themselves as a highly effective member in a technician role, and have shown aptitude and intent to pursue either an initial supervisory, or engineering role - but may not yet have sufficient experience to be successful in those roles.

Key Technical Skills:

• Bachelors degree focusing on IT, Network Engineering, or other related studies.
• Demonstrated experience working in an enterprise network operations center (NOC) or equivalent environment, providing remote troubleshooting, administration, support, and implementation of networking technologies.
• Associate to professional level knowledge of one or more core networking features and functionality including TCP/IP addressing, routing, switching, VPN, SDWan, and wireless access points.
