Job summary

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise day-to-day finishing activities such as plastering, putty, painting, tiling, false ceiling, carpentry, joinery, waterproofing, and faade finishing.
• Ensure finishing works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor contractor manpower, productivity, and work progress.

2. Quality Control

• Inspect finishing works regularly to ensure quality, alignment, and proper installation.
• Check materials delivered for finishing works and ensure they meet the required standards.
• Highlight non-conformances and ensure corrective actions.

3. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with site engineers, MEP teams, structural teams, and subcontractors for smooth execution.
• Raise site issues to the Project Engineer/Manager in a timely manner.
• Communicate daily targets and instructions to workers and subcontractor teams.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site reports, progress records, and checklists.
• Report material shortages, scope changes, or delays.
• Verify contractor bills, measurements, and quantities as needed.

5. Safety Compliance

• Ensure all finishing work is carried out following site safety standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers use proper PPE.
• Report any safety violations to senior engineers.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of finishing materials, techniques, and workmanship standards.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and finishing schedules.
• Good communication and leadership skills to manage labour.
• Basic knowledge of measurement, BOQ, and site documentation.
• Problem-solving and timely decision-making ability.
