Job summary

Vilwaa Tech Enablers in Chennai is seeking an experienced design engineer to develop and optimize core IC engine components for diesel and petrol engines. You will work on 5C components and lead design reviews with manufacturing and quality teams.

The role requires strong CAD skills, GD&T knowledge, and a hands-on approach to cost, weight, and performance improvements, with exposure to casting, forging, machining, and heat treatment processes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IC Engine / Diesel / Petrol Engine fundamentals.
• Experience in engine core component design.
• Good knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis and material selection.
• Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as CATIA V5 / NX / Creo.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, machining and heat treatment.
• Understanding of engine testing and validation is an advantage.
