Job summary

Tata Technologies in Pune is seeking a Design Engineer to contribute to IC engine components development. The role involves design and development of engine components, 3D modelling in Creo, and PLM workflows. You will coordinate with Proto planning, testing, vehicle integration, and suppliers, performing DMU packaging checks and delivering BOMs. The position requires strong knowledge of engine components and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engine components and their design considerations.
• Ability to apply design for cost and reliability principles.
• Experience with DFMEA and root-cause analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Understanding GD&T and tolerancing.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, casting, forging, forming, welding).

Responsibilities

• Design and development of IC engine components.
• 3D modelling and drawing (component, assembly) in Creo.

Design Competency Requirement

Design and Development of IC Engine components

• Engine Components design experience
• 3D modelling and Drawing (component, assembly etc.) in Creo.
• DMU Packaging checks.
• TPL/BOM preparation and release in PLM.
• Benchmarking of Engine aggregate etc.
• Coordination with internal agencies like Proto planning, Testing, Vehicle Integration.
• Coordination with Suppliers.

Software Competency

Creo (2D and 3D) & PLM (Teamcenter)

Development Competency

• Knowledge of different Engine Components.
• Knowledge of manufacturing Processes like Machining, Casting, Forging, Forming, and Welding.
• Knowledge of Processes like DFM / DFA / DFS and Design for Cost and Reliability.
• Knowledge of GD & T & Tolerance Stack up.
• Knowledge DFMEA, Failure Investigation & Problem solving Techniques.
