Job summary

Fluxus Elevators Private Limited in Bakrol, Ahmedabad, seeks a skilled CAD Designer to convert site survey measurements into production-ready drawings for elevator cabins, doors, frames, brackets and sheet-metal components.

You will develop General Arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, and DXF/Nesting files, while maintaining BOMs and revision control. Close coordination with production and site teams ensures accurate, manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–6 years of CAD design experience, preferably in sheet metal.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• SolidWorks with Sheet Metal module preferred.
• Ability to generate DXF files and nesting layouts.
• Bom preparation and adherence to drawing standards.
• Ability to coordinate drawings with production and site teams.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled CAD Designer to join our Manufacturing Design team at our Bakrol, Ahmedabad plant. The candidate will be responsible for converting site survey measurements into accurate and production-ready drawings for elevator cabins, doors, frames, brackets and sheet-metal components.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare General Arrangement (GAD) drawings from site survey data for customer/consultant approval.
• Prepare fabrication drawings for elevator cabins, doors, frames, brackets and sheet-metal parts.
• Develop flat patterns with appropriate bend allowances.
• Generate DXF files and laser-cutting nests with efficient sheet utilisation.
• Prepare and maintain accurate BOMs for different elevator models and variants.
• Coordinate with production, stores, purchase and site teams for drawing-related requirements.
• Maintain proper drawing revision control and ensure only the latest drawings are available on the shop floor.
• Resolve site/production fitment issues based on actual measurements and corrections.
• Maintain standard parts, drawing templates and design libraries.
• Support development of new elevator models, components and fixtures.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks, preferably Sheet Metal module.
• Good understanding of sheet-metal design and fabrication.
• Knowledge of flat-pattern development and bend allowance.
• Experience in DXF generation and laser cutting/nesting.
• Good understanding of BOM preparation and drawing standards.
• Strong attention to dimensional accuracy and drawing details.
• Knowledge of drawing revision control and documentation.
• Ability to coordinate with production and site teams.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in elevator/lift manufacturing, sheet-metal fabrication, panels, enclosures, furniture manufacturing or similar fabrication industries will be preferred.

Working Conditions

• Plant-based design role at Bakrol, Ahmedabad.
• Occasional site visits may be required for complex surveys.
