Job summary

Toshiba JSW Power Systems in Tamil Nadu invites an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our industrial maintenance team. You will perform preventive and breakdown electrical maintenance on CNC machines and associated plant equipment.

You will inspect motors, starters, control panels, switchgear, PLC panels and wiring; troubleshoot faults in motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and limit switches; and ensure safe operation through LOTO and safety interlocks.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electrical maintenance experience in CNC machines such as HMC, VMC, VTL, HBM.
• Knowledge of FANUC NC & TOSNUC NC, PLCs (Mitsubishi, Siemens, ABB, Yaskawa).
• Ability to prepare check sheets, preventive maintenance and schedules.
• Basic electrical knowledge relevant to CNC and high-power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown electrical maintenance of plant equipment.
• Inspect motors, starters, control panels, switch gears, PLC panels and wiring.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, VFD, PLC, sensors and limit switches.
• Test insulation resistance, earth continuity and grounding.
• Ensure safety interlocks and protection systems function correctly.
• Replace faulty components like contactors, relays, fuses, cables.
• Maintain electrical drawings, maintenance records and checklists.
• Coordinate with mechanical and cross-functional teams during maintenance.
• Adhere to LOTO, safe work practices during maintenance activities.

Job Description:

• Perform the preventive and break down elctrical maintenance of plant equipments
• Inspect and maintain the motors,Starters,Control panels,Switch gears,PLC panel,power wiring and control wirings
• Trouble shoot electrical faults in Motor,VFD,PLC,Sensors,,Limit switches and control circuits
• Perform testing of insulation resistance earthing and continuity
• Ensure proper functioning safety interlocks and protection systems
• Replace faulty electrical components such as contacxtor,relays,fuses,switch gears and cables
• Maintain electrical drawings,maintenace records, and check lists
• Cooradinate with mechanical team and cross functional team during maintenance activities
• Ensure complaince with electrical safety standard and statutory requirements
• Follow lockout -tagout (LOTO) and safe work pratices ,During maintenance activities.
• SOP preparation, Why Why analysis with CM execution,CBM execution, TPM concept implementation

Desired Requirement: Candidate Should have hands on experience in electrical maintenance in CNC machines like HMC, VMC, VTL, HBM, Hydraulic Press machines, Furnaces. Should have experience in performing Preventive maintenance, check sheet and schedule preparation Should have basis electrical knowledge in the relevant field. Should have knowledge in FANUC NC & TOSNUC NC ,PLC- Mitsubishi , Siemens, ABB, Yaskawa Should be able to work in shift basis. Should have knowledge in diagnosing the problem and provide solution in order to reduce the down time. Should have knowledge in ERP(Oracle), MS office, Auto cad Should have knowledge in ISO 9001, 45001 Should have knowledge in Kaizen Should have good communication skill with cross functional team
