Job summary

Acetech Group is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to oversee CNC and VMC equipment. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and diagnose machine alarms and faults to maximize uptime.

Responsibilities include coordinating with OEMs, maintaining records, and driving reliability improvements across the shop floor. The role requires 2–5 years of relevant manufacturing experience and a technical diploma or degree.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, EEE, ECE or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of CNC/VMC machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing or machine-shop.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of CNC, VMC and related machine-shop equipment.
• Troubleshoot and rectify electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues.
• Diagnose CNC/VMC machine alarms, electrical panel faults, sensor issues, motor, drive and PLC-related problems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot spindles, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, lubrication and cooling systems.
• Prepare and follow the Preventive Maintenance schedule and ensure timely completion.
• Analyze recurring breakdowns and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor and improve MTBF, MTTR, machine availability and breakdown performance.
• Coordinate with machine OEMs and external service engineers for major breakdowns and technical support.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, PM checklists and machine history cards.
• Ensure availability and proper control of critical spare parts and maintenance consumables.
• Support machine installation, commissioning, modification and improvement activities.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality and Tool Room teams to minimize machine downtime.
• Ensure compliance with 5S, safety procedures, LOTO and company maintenance standards.
• Identify opportunities for machine reliability improvement, energy saving and maintenance cost reduction.
