Job summary

JM Frictech India (JMI) is seeking an Assistant Manager Electrical Maintenance for our machine shop. The role focuses on leading maintenance activities for CNC, VMC, and VTL equipment, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.

You will plan preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot PLC/CNC systems, and drive RCA initiatives with a team of technicians. You will coordinate with production and OEM teams, manage spare parts, and support new machine installations and electrical

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–12 years of industrial/machine-shop electrical maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical maintenance activities for CNC, VMC, VTL and other machine-shop equipment.
• Plan and monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Troubleshoot PLC, CNC, servo drives, VFD, motors, sensors and control panels.
• Ensure minimum machine downtime and maximum equipment availability.
• Monitor electrical panels, power supply, wiring and machine safety systems.
• Coordinate with production, mechanical maintenance and OEM service teams.
• Plan manpower, spare parts and maintenance schedules.
• Analyze repeated breakdowns and implement root-cause corrective actions.
• Maintain maintenance records, reports and MTTR/MTBF data.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, LOTO and company safety procedures.
• Support new machine installation, commissioning and electrical modifications.
• Guide and develop technicians and maintenance team members.
