Job summary

DVN Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power projects across Tamil Nadu. • Experience overseeing installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV projects.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and IS Codes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation activities for ground-mounted and rooftop solar PV projects.
• Execute installation of solar PV modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, switchgear and related systems.
• Review electrical drawings, SLDs, layouts and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and project teams for smooth site execution.
• Conduct cable laying, termination, earthing, and lightning protection installation.
• Perform testing and commissioning of solar PV systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with IS Codes, CEA regulations, and project specs.
• Monitor progress, prepare reports, and maintain project documentation.
• Troubleshoot faults and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and electricity board officials.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power projects across Tamil Nadu. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical installations, and site execution while ensuring safety, quality, and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation activities for ground-mounted and rooftop solar PV projects.


• Execute installation of solar PV modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, switchgear protection and associated electrical systems.


• Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and technical specifications.


• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and project teams to ensure smooth site execution.


• Conduct cable laying, termination, earthing, and lightning protection system installation.


• Perform testing and commissioning of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical equipment.


• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, IS Codes, CEA regulations, and project specifications.


• Monitor project progress, prepare daily/weekly reports, and maintain project documentation.


• Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure minimal downtime.


• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and local electricity board officials during project execution.


• Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards and safe work practices at the project site.


• Transmission Line Pole erection and Stringing work


• Resourse Planning,Project scheduling and ensure compliance

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Solar PV systems, HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.


• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.


• Knowledge of electrical testing equipment such as insulation resistance testers, earth testers, and mustimeters.


• Understanding of CEIG requirements, TANGEDCO procedures, CEA regulations, and Indian Electrical Standards.


• Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.
