Job summary

Geie Solar Products in India seeks an Electrical Engineer to manage solar project installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance across PAN India. You will apply solid electrical fundamentals, review SLDs and coordinate with contractors at sites.

We expect 2–5 years in electrical, EPC/solar projects, familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Office; solar design software is a plus. Willingness to travel extensively and a valid driving licence are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2–5 years in electrical, EPC, commissioning, O&M or solar projects.
• Solar industry experience preferred.
• Valid driving licence and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and assess electrical feasibility for solar projects.
• Support installation and commissioning of solar panels, inverters, AC/DC panels, cabling, earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Prepare and review SLD, cable schedules, load calculations, equipment layouts and BOQ support documents.
• Troubleshoot inverter alarms, generation issues, cable faults and electrical protection problems.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, customers and internal project teams at site.
• Ensure electrical work follows approved drawings, safety practices and quality standards.
• Maintain test reports, commissioning checklists, site progress reports and material records.
• Support preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of operational solar plants.
• Coordinate with DISCOM / utility teams for metering, grid connectivity and approvals when required.
• Travel across PAN India as per project and service requirements.

Job Purpose
Electrical Engineer will handle solar project installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and technical support across India. The candidate must have good electrical fundamentals, solar PV knowledge and willingness to travel extensively for project sites.

Key Responsibilities

Solar Knowledge Required

• Understanding of solar PV modules, string configuration, inverters and solar monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
• Understanding of DC cabling, AC distribution, earthing, lightning protection and electrical safety.
• Basic knowledge of net metering, grid-connected systems and DISCOM requirements.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, SLDs, datasheets and installation manuals.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office; solar design software will be an advantage.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of electrical, EPC, commissioning, O&M or solar project experience.
• Solar industry experience will be preferred.
• Valid driving licence and independent travel ability preferred.
