Job summary

Bondada Electrical Engineer – Solar Projects is responsible for planning, executing, supervising, and monitoring electrical installation activities for utility-scale and rooftop solar PV projects. The role ensures safe, on-schedule, within-budget work aligned to project specs, standards, and quality requirements.

Candidate will supervise HT/LT works, review drawings/SLDs, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with IEC/IS/CEA and client standards while supporting testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in solar EPC, renewable energy, or electrical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation activities for solar projects.
• Execute HT/LT works, including cable laying, termination, and testing.
• Coordinate installation of solar modules, inverters, transformers, RMUs, HT/LT panels, switchgear.
• Review electrical drawings, SLDs, layouts, and BOQs before execution.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, QA/QC, procurement, and commissioning teams.
• Monitor daily site progress and prepare progress reports.
• Verify material availability and coordinate with stores/procurement.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, CEA and client standards.
• Supervise cable tray, earthing and lightning protection works.
• Support testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and grid synchronization.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution.
• Ensure EHS compliance and site safety procedures.
• Attend project review meetings and provide technical updates.

Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer – Solar Projects is responsible for planning, executing, supervising, and monitoring the electrical installation activities of utility-scale and rooftop solar PV projects. The role ensures that all electrical works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation activities for solar PV projects.
• Execute HT/LT electrical works, including cable laying, termination, and testing.
• Coordinate the installation of solar modules, string inverters, central inverters, transformers, RMUs, HT/LT panels, SCBs, DCDBs, ACDBs, and switchgear.
• Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and BOQs before execution.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, QA/QC, procurement, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor daily site progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Verify material availability and coordinate with the store and procurement teams.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with project specifications, IEC, IS, CEA, and client standards.
• Supervise cable tray installation, earthing systems, lightning protection systems, and cable routing.
• Support testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and grid synchronization activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) requirements and company safety procedures.
• Attend project review meetings and provide technical updates to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in solar EPC, renewable energy, or electrical infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of utility-scale and rooftop solar PV systems.
• Understanding of HT/LT electrical systems and switchgear.
• Familiarity with transformers, RMUs, inverters, protection systems, and SCADA.
• Ability to read and interpret SLDs, electrical layouts, and schematic drawings.
• Knowledge of IEC, IS, CEA, and electrical safety standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project documentation.
